Christmas in Mierlo
This month we had a lovely Christmas market in Mierlo!
The proceeds from this market were entirely for the stray animals in Thailand. Thank you Sonja Terlouw for your help! ❤️

Sterilizations in November
In November we had 2 successful sterilization days. One in Hua Hin where a total of 57 animals (25 dogs and 32 cats) have been sterilized. And one in the city Prachuap Khiri Khan. A total of 114 animals were sterilized (60 dogs and 54 cats). A great result! All animals are doing well! ❤️

Sterilizations in December
We also had a successful sterilization day in December. A total of 130 animals were sterilized (78 dogs and 52 cats).
Another great result! During these days we vaccinate the animals against rabies and they also get an ear tattoo as a sign that they have been sterilized. ❤️

Aftercare 1
During the sterilization days we also encounter dogs that could use some extra care. Like this male dog who had an inflamed scrotum as a result of a fight. This is treated immediately and he is now doing fine again. ❤️

Aftercare 2
We also come across dogs that are neglected and could use some help. Like this dog that got immediately a grooming session on the sterilization day. We then also show the owner that good care of a dog is necessary. ❤️

Helping nearby 1

This large dog was left with a Thai man who fosters several dogs. The dog had a rope around its neck causing deep cuts, where it is likely that the dog had this rope already from a young age.
The dog was a bit aggressive and then it is better to anesthetize before treatment.
The wound has now been treated and it will take some time to heal. We believe there is a good chance of recovery. He now receives daily intensive medical care! ❤️

While feeding we also came across this street dog who had a deep bite wound that required immediate treatment. After a good recovery, he was returned to his familiar environment, where he is fed daily by a Thai family. ❤️

We found this stray dog with a large tumor on her neck. We have removed this preventively. The dog is doing well and will return to her own place again after she has fully recovered. There she will be fed by a Thai man. ❤️

Severely Injured Dog
We sometimes come across cases that leave a deep impact on us. Like this dog that was shot with a harpoon!
Our Coordinator Nilobon was called for help. This dog had been walking around for 2 days with an arrow straight through her neck! The dog was immediately anesthetized and taken to an animal hospital The dog is staying there for treatment. The arrow has now been removed and we have to wait and see whether it has caused serious internal damage! We are rooting for this poor dog and cannot fathom how people can be so cruel. What a poor animal! ❤️

This time a combined newsletter from November and December. It is a little longer than you are used to, but therefore also extra informative!
In these two months we were able to sterilize no fewer than 301 animals. This brings the total to 1372 animals that we were able to sterilize/neuter this year. A wonderful result.
We were also able to help several dogs. With terrible injuries and tumors as well as trimming the coats.
Unfortunately, there were also sad moments. We had to say goodbye to two-legged Leena (the black dog), little Bibbi and Pang Pang. All three were rescued from the street and had a wonderful life with us. Saying goodbye is unfortunately difficult, but it is part of life. We remain positive and remember them with great fondness.
Together we once again stood up for the animals in need this year.
With your support we can continue to make a real difference! And achieve great successes for as many stray animals as possible in Thailand.
Thank you very much for that!
We wish you happy holidays and a very wonderful 2024!
