Newsletter

In this newsletter, you can read about the highlights of our actions over the past three months to help animals in need, success stories, and how you too can contribute to a world in which forgotten animals are no longer forgotten.

a new means of transport ❀️

Since last March, our vehicle, which we received years ago as a gift from Dutch Abri voor Dieren Foundation and used during sterilization days and rescue operations, has been missing. We are very upset by this incident.

Fortunately, Dutch Dierenhulp.nl Foundation offered us their support with the wonderful idea of purchasing another vehicle. We were very attached to our car, but thanks to their help, we were able to buy almost the same car back.

It is heartwarming to see how committed Stichting Dierenhulp.nl is.
This creates a special bond and makes it possible to work closely together.

Thanks to their support, we can safely continue our work, from helping stray animals in need of immediate care to organizing sterilization projects in villages where the need is greatest.

Dierenhulp.nl Foundation, thank you so much! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’›

One arrow changes everything!

Catching dogs for sterilization is a skill in itself. It requires patience, precision and a lot of love. There is more to it than meets the eye.

In the early morning sun, the dogs sneak quietly through the streets: skinny animals, some with scars from old fights, others shy and looking for food. Not vicious dogs, just forgotten ones.

Then a team of dedicated dog catchers drives into the village. In their car: tranquillizer darts, sterile instruments and a big heart for animals.

They are there for first aid and the TNRC program (Trap, Neuter, Return & Care). An initiative in which stray dogs are safely caught, neutered, cared for and returned healthy to their familiar surroundings.

Lieve Ollie

Ollie got hit by a car.
The driver drove on, leaving him seriously injured... πŸ’”

A kind Thai lady, who had cared for Ollie and his two brothers since they were puppies, was unfortunately no longer able to look after him.

The impact was so severe that Ollie became disabled; he had broken his back and urgently needed specialized medical care.

He has now undergone surgery at a specialist veterinary clinic in Phetchaburi, after a journey of around 550 km from the town of Phitsanulok.

Ollie is now with us at the “Magic Land” shelter in Pranburi (Hua Hin) and has started his rehabilitation process. Fortunately, he can now urinate and defecate independently; previously, his bladder had to be emptied manually.

In Thailand, dogs like Ollie often do not get a chance for help due to a lack of resources. Euthanasia is not an option in Thailand because of Buddhism, which means that many dogs have to suffer their entire lives.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to sweet Ollie! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’›

You can still contribute to cover the remainder of Ollie's veterinary costs! Donate πŸ‘‡πŸ»

Puppieboom 🐾

Three heavily pregnant dogs discovered during a neutering day! 🫣

The plan was to have them neutered, but upon arrival it turned out that they were already too far along in their pregnancies and could give birth at any moment.

Since abortion was no longer an option, we decided to let these brave mums give birth at the shelter, where they were safe and could rest.

The puppies are now 2.5 months old and are all available for adoption in Thailand.

The mothers have since been spayed and returned to their familiar surroundings, a place where they are safe and fed.

Crossbreeds – often the most beautiful dogs!

Crossbreeds often have unique characteristics and a special personality. Their appearance can be surprisingly beautiful, and their character is often as special as their looks.

These are dogs that can capture your heart in a way that you sometimes find less often with purebred dogs ❀️

Sterilizations

In the past three months, we have been able to neuter 374 animals. For these animals, this means no more offspring.

Thanks to the support of Dutch Dierenhulp.nl Foundation, we are able to neuter dogs and cats every month within a certain budget.
We are incredibly grateful for this! πŸ™πŸ»

To give you an idea of the costs:
Sterilization of a dog: €18
Sterilization of a cat: €13

Requests for sterilization continue to come in every day and the waiting list is growing.

You can help us shorten the list!

Make a one-off donation or become a donor! πŸ‘‡πŸ»
Virtual adoption – or long-distance adoption!

Meet the sweet disabled dogs who are waiting for someone special like you! 🐾❀️

We work with two loving shelters where rescued dogs are not only safe, but also receive the care and attention they deserve: Caro's World ‘Magic Land’ in Pranburi (Hua Hin) and
Saved Souls Foundation in Khon Kaen

Starting at just £10 per month, you can personally adopt a dog remotely.

The total cost of care is 2,000 Thai Baht per month (approximately £45).

You can choose to sponsor the full amount and support a dog entirely. But even with a contribution of £10 per month, you are already helping enormously. In that case, several adopters contribute together to the full care of a dog.

Thank you!

IN lOVING MEMORY πŸ˜”

It is with sadness that we also share the news that Mrs Pa Wad, one of the dedicated Thai volunteers in Hua Hin, has unexpectedly passed away.

Tragedy struck in August. During her daily food round for the dogs, she was hit by a motorist who drove on and left her behind. Much later, she was found dead – surrounded by the dogs she had always cared for with so much love.

Every day she went out to feed and care for the stray dogs on the street. Her love and dedication to these animals were boundless.

She will be remembered as a loving, caring and courageous person whose heart beat for animals. Her loss leaves a great void – for everyone, and for the dogs who saw her as their guardian angel πŸ™πŸ»

Your dedication and love for animals will never be forgotten ❀️ RIP.

RIP Mrs Pa Wad πŸ™πŸ»

We are a non-profit organization and do not receive any support from the Thai government. Therefore, we are entirely dependent on gifts and donations.

Thanks to your support, we can help stray dogs and cats in Thailand with:
sterilization, vaccination, preventive medication, veterinary costs, food and daily care.

Together, we can make a difference for animals that would otherwise have no chance.
